Hand Mulching Mulch is an integral part of a beautiful landscape. In addition to enhancing the beauty of the landscape, it serves many purposes. It inhibits the growth of weeds, retains moisture, maintains a steady soil temperature and adds organic matter to the soil. Mulching by hand ensures the careful installation and correct distribution of the necessary amount of fresh mulch. Our experts also remove decomposed mulch, redistribute sun-bleached, and dehydrated mulch before they distribute the fresh mulch of your choice. Dyed mulch has gained in popularity in recent years since it retains its color and remains attractive much longer, offsetting its higher initial cost. Although dyed much is available in many colors, we recommend using dyed black mulch for aesthetic reasons. Gutter Cleaning Gutters are not glamorous, but are essential for routing roof runoff water away from your home. When gutters have organic debris piled up above the flashing or shingle line, the debris can hold moisture against the fascia boards, causing them to warp, bow or rot. This trapped debris or moisture can also affect the roof sheathing and framing beyond the fascia by potentially causing ice dams, dry rot, and damage to siding or exterior paint. It can cause wet, stained or moldy walls and ceilings and allow the penetration of water into the house or basement. If you do not have a gutter guard system, we will inspect and clean your gutters twice a year. |
