Magic Gardens Landscaping was founded in 1982 by an ambitious young man who travelled around town in a truck with a couple of mowers in the back. That man was Drew Shepherd and the truck with two mowers has grown into a thriving organization with forty employees. With thirty years’ experience and numerous certifications to his credit, Drew personally provides his clients with landscape design services for residential and commercial customers.

In collaboration with Landscape Construction Manager Dan De Waal, clients’ needs are surveyed and assessed during the design process. Creativity is melded with practicality in order to provide the most functional yet beautiful design possible. Once the design is complete, a detailed proposal with specifications and cost estimates is presented to the client. When the proposal is accepted, construction can begin.

In February of 2007, Magic Gardens opened a new facility in Hillburn, NY. The facility serves as a dispatch location for landscape construction and grounds maintenance crews as well as the administrative offices. The facility also offers a beautiful showroom , featuring sample products available to clients, a viewing center with hundreds of images available for viewing on a large screen, and a library of horticultural books.

Our Landscape Construction Division services the northern New Jersey residential and commercial landscaping market. The Grounds Maintenance and Snow Removal Divisions operate in northern Bergen County, New Jersey. Annual sales are in excess of two million dollars with plans for continued growth in the future. In fact, in their November 2007 issue, Inc. 500 magazine named Magic Gardens Landscaping, Inc. one of the 5000 fastest growing companies in the nation.
